Toongabbie

Property Focus

Toongabbie is a whirling garden suburb set 23 km west of the Sydney CBD. Toongabbie is derived from an Aboriginal word, reported as meaning place by the water or the meeting of the waters. It was named on June 1792 after Governor Arthur Phillip asked the local Aborigines what they called the place. Toongabbie has a beautiful leafy atmosphere which gives residents a peaceful and laid-back lifestyle. The suburb is within easy reach of Parramatta, Penrith and the Blue Mountains, as well as Windsor in the west, and the city via the M2 Freeway.
