The Ponds

The Ponds is located north west of Sydney with an estimated population of 2,900 and growing steadily, the suburb was designated in 2007. The Ponds was previously a part of Kellyville and Kellyville Ridge is a very fast growing residential area that was originally farm grazing land.

The Ponds Quick Facts:

• The Ponds received its name from a nearby creek called ‘Second Creek Ponds’
• According to a recent census, the Australian Bureau of Statistics ranked The Ponds as the most advantaged suburb of Sydney by the use of twenty-five variables, including income, internet access, number of bedrooms and resident qualifications.
• In 2012, The Ponds scooped two industry awards by taking out first place in the Residential Development and Sustainable Development categories at the UDIA NSW Austral Bricks Awards for Excellence.

Shopping and entertainment

• The Ponds acquired its very own shopping centre in 2015, 25 specialty stores and restaurants, plus a Woolworths.
• Rouse Hill Town Centre is a larger shopping centre with 250 shops only 1km away and a short stroll away is the Stanhope Shopping Village
• Castle Towers and Westpoint Blacktown are also nearby

Transport

• Hills bus and Busways provide extensive bus services
• Many routes use the North-West T-Way
• Routes to Westlink M7, Cumberland Highway, Blacktown, Castle Hill, Parramatta, CBD.
• Schofields Train Station is the closest railway until the Cudgegong Rd Station of the North West Rail Link is completed in 2019
